Hearn believes Paul will never become world champion but is impressed by his dedication to boxing. In May, before a record crowd at AT&T Stadium outside Dallas, England's then-WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders suffered broken orbital bones in the eighth round as his corner waved the white towel before the ninth began. That's right, all of the services allow you to record and play back shows, just like a traditional cable or satellite DVR, but they often come with restrictions. Saunders headed back to his corner but was unable to see out of the damaged eye, which caused his team to keep him on the stool and not let him answer the bell for the ninth frame. Canelo is landing some hard shots but Saunders is fighting back. Plant told ESPN Deportes in March about fighting Canelo for the undisputed crown. With a series of price hikes has come a number of additional channels, including access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, plus a new unlimited DVR included in the $70 price. Most services carry ESPN and local channels for NFL football, but if you follow a professional baseball or basketball team, you might need their specific channel -- called a regional sports network or RSN -- to watch regular season games.
Sling offers not one but two $35-per-month live TV streaming channel packages, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. While some live TV channels are available on both, the two differ significantly with other channel offerings: Orange is basically the ESPN/Disney package, while Blue is the Fox/NBC package and offers more channels overall. Its channel selection still isn't as robust as YouTube TV and FuboTV, yet it's Hulu's significant catalog of on-demand content which sets it apart. There's a lot to like about FuboTV -- it offers a wide selection of channels and its sports focus makes it especially attractive to soccer fans or NBA, NHL and MLB fans who live in an area served by one of FuBoTV's RSNs. But many fans wanted a one-way-or-the-other decision and weren't afraid to complain about it. With sports returning from the pandemic-enforced hiatus, fans will want to make sure they can find the sports channels to follow their teams.
There's also the chance that a certain cable channel could disappear from a certain service after a network contract expires, which is what happened in 2020 with the regional sports networks. It's easy to forget because it happened one year ago, but Garcia's most recent fight was an impressive seventh-round TKO victory of Luke Campbell. Canelo is a free agent, but has expressed his desire to continue working with Hearn - who staged his last three fights before the Plant bout - moving forwards. Canelo Alvarez, who is 56-1-2 with 38 knockouts, will compete for the third time this year. Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) hails from Tennessee and has been in Alvarez’ crosshairs for some time.
Before Canelo’s last fight, Jermall Charlo mentioned that he wants to fight the winner of Plant vs Alvarez. Jermall Charlo: The reigning WBC middleweight titlist, Charlo (32-0, 22 KO) may really be the best name at Premier Boxing Champions can offer Canelo if they’d like to work with him again for his next fight, and obviously they would like to, just like everyone else would; nobody doesn’t want to promote a Canelo fight. Hopefully, Ward is aware of Plant’s stamina problems and can develop a strategy to keep Canelo off him in the last six rounds. After a tentative first round, the 30-year-old Alvarez took control before Saunders had his best rounds in the fifth and sixth, when the southpaw landed his best left hand of the fight.
