The Mexican superstar put a definitive end to his rivalry with the American last weekend with a brutal 11th-round KO victory in Las Vegas. If Morrell wins, his seventh victory as a professional will be viewed much the way Morrell assessed Benavidez’s win against Lemieux (43-5, 36 KOs), a former IBF middleweight champion from Montreal. ‘Oh yeah, I got so much respect for you’ and this and that. Canelo will always look for an opportunity to use his power. I felt his power. X-factor: Taylor's star power has been a bit of a question mark. The Mexican star is expected to move up to either light heavyweight or cruiserweight for his next fight in May. Before the fight with Canelo, Ward had given Plant advice on fighting the Mexican star. “Yeah, we spoke a couple of times and gone over some stuff,” said Plant when asked if he’s spoken to Andre Ward since his loss to Canelo.
